A number of treaty settlements have been used to bring the economy of the Maori people into the modern world market as well as the global economy (Selby, 2010). According to a recent analysis, forestry, fishery and agriculture account for about 1-1.9 billion US dollars of the Maori economy every year (NZIER, 2003). Based on your current achievements and interests, describe the kind of work that you plan to be in 10years, both in your career and in your community - Essay Example I would describe myself as a sporty person whom everybody can feel good with. I know that I am a down-to-earth person, with no attitude or behavioral problems. My parents have given me many valuable lessons of life, of which the greatest one is that commitment to your field of interest is crucial to be successful. Truth is my principle, and I stick to my principles no matter what happens. Besides, I am a very committed person, and I love to play different sports in my free time. I remember that when I was a little kid, I would play baseball and badminton all day long with my neighbor. Since then, I have developed such passion regarding sports that has not vanished even today. When I was growing up, my grandmother would tell me stories of eminent players who played for the name of their countries and earned awards. I would always become greatly inspired by such players. I wanted to be like them. I wanted to coach those kids who needed help in playing. I had many badminton and baseball kits in my childhood, and I remember how much I had cried one day when my baseball kit got stolen. The memories of childhood are still in my mind, and I cannot forget how I would yearn to play with children instead of watching television. My achievements and my passion toward sports clearly show that I am a dedicated sportsman. Hence, I would want to go into the field of sports after completing my engineering degree. In the next ten years, I see myself playing in the NFL. I always loved how volunteers would come to help me and other kids while we played in the sports field. I have always wanted to do the same with the kids of my community when I grow up. Even if I enter into the engineering field, I would not leave the ambition of helping kids in sports. If I go into an engineering field, I would work in one of the plants along a nearby river. Hence, I am sure to state that in the next ten years, I see myself as a great player

It not only obviates the need to provide structural members at the base to support the overhanging portion, but also provides the inhabitants of the house with more space to live in without consuming any space at the base. Houses with cantilever portions can have large areas for gardening or verandahs. Why is the cantilever principle an important factor in structural work? Cantilever principle is widely employed in all sorts of construction works. The biggest advantage it offers to the constructor is that it obviates the need to provide one of the two main supports at the free end of the structural member. This results not only in decreasing the amount of material needed for the construction of structure, but also makes the structure look quite elegant. The free hanging portion of the structural member lends it a beaut iful dramatic look, that adds a lot to the overall beauty of the whole structure. In the contemporary age where look of the structure is considered of prime importance, cantilever principle helps the constructor achieve the very purpose without having to compromise upon the safety of the structure.
